Christmas Themed

I hope everyone had a wonderful, happy, healthy Christmas filled with family, friends, cheer and memories.

With Christmas being yesterday, this week's post will be all Christmas themed.

1. When I lived at my parents’ house and when I was home from college, every Christmas Eve my brother, sister and I would watch the Santa Clause movie and read The Night Before Christmas together.

2. I love the ornament tradition my parents started when we moved into our house (1990). Every year we have gotten an ornament in our stocking that represents something we did that year. The year we learned to snowboard we got snowboarder ornaments, the year I got my driver’s license I got a girl with a license and keys, the year I graduated from college I got a girl in a cap in gown and the first year D and I were in our house we got a house ornament. D has been added to the ornament tradition as well and has gotten a hunter for the year he went moose hunting, he got a basketball coach for coaching (obvi), and a handyman this year for all the work around the house he's done.

3. I'm thankful for all the traditions D and I grew up with and for the traditions that carried over into our relationship/marriage and the new ones we're making together.

Its crazy how fast this day comes

Another Wednesday is here. Another random facts post. You can sleep easier tonight ;)

1. I had my adenoids removed when I was 5 and have a scar on the roof of my mouth and down (part of) the back of my throat.

2. I love that D hasn't had a game all week (last game was Fri 12/14 and the next one is Fri 12/21). It means I get more sleep which makes me happier and the days after a game easier.

3. I'm thankful for being able to celebrate Christmas with our families without being worried about time or where we have to be next. Each family has their own day and we get some good quality time together. I'm so excited about this :)

Blah Blah Blah

Another week, another hump day, another triple post.....

1. I still wear my retainers. No way in HECK will I risk the chance of EVER needing braces again. Going through that once was MORE than enough for me, thank you very much!

2. I love that I've got all my Christmas presents purchased, wrapped and sorted by what house/family they need to go to.

3. I'm thankful that I completed my first grad school course and got an A!

Oh and as a side note, today 12/12/12 is that last time you will see repeating dates (like 10/10/10 and 11/11/11). Pretty neat huh?

Hello There .... December

I have to start by saying that I CANNOT believe its already December. Seriously, where have the last 11 months of 2012 gone?!

1. Every year from December 3rd to the 5th, my sister, myself, D and our BIL K are all one year apart. So from Monday to today our ages were 27, 28, 29 and 30.

2. I love that I have officially finished ALL of my Christmas shopping. I'm waiting on 4 gifts to come in the mail and once they do and are instantly wrapped. All gifts will be bought, wrapped and organized by family Christmas.

2. I'm thankful for being so on top of presents this year. I've never been so ahead of the game. It feels good and it means I'll be able to enjoy the days leading up to Christmas that much more.

Post Holidays

The week after any major holiday always seems like a let down. Maybe its just me and part of the aftermath of a two day work week last week. Any who, here is my weekly post...

1. I haven't had Red Bull in 36 days.

2. I love that I have 99% of my Christmas shopping done. It feel so good!

3. I'm thankful for there only being a week and a half left to this semester.

Thanksgiving Themed Triples

In honor of Thanksgiving I will give me tangent, what I love and thankful facts all about Thanksgiving.

1. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Always has been, always will be. Yes, even as a little kid. Christmas was awesome, but Thanksgiving was when my dads family got together and my grandparents came up. It was the best.

2. I love our family tradition of going around the table and everyone saying one thing they are thankful for this year. Its a nice way to really reflect on the past year and since there is usually close to 20 of us, come of the things people say are creative and funny.

3. I'm thankful to be able to spend Thanksgiving with so many of my family members that I don't get to see much. My brother and his girlfriend flew in from Colorado on Saturday night and my aunt, uncle and three cousins drove up from South Carolina.
