All Things Loved

I skipped February - not sure how I just realized this, but we're moving right along to March!

Accessories:

I fell in love with more lulu stuff (such shock, I know) recently. To be more specific, these socks and these headbands: (disclaimer: these are google images and not what I actually have - unfortunately)

Shoes:

I am usually at least a good 6 months behind the fashion trend bandwagon, it happens. I finally joined the TOMS trend and I'm so glad I did. These shoes are super comfortable and come in such cute colors/styles/designs.These are the two I have (so far)!

Books:

My SIL turned me on to the author Karen Kingsbury and I read 5 of her books this month! I read the Baxter Family series. They are so good, I can't wait to read more of her books!

Websites/Blogs:

I found this website from a blog I read. It is hilarious! I could (and have) spent way to much time looking at all the posts!
I also found this blog, Posh Meets Pavement, (I can't remember how I found it) and I'm facinated with this girls life. She's origionally from California and her and her husband are currently living in South Africa! (Her husband is from there.)

January Review

Here is my January edition of All Things Loved!

My friend A pined a picture of a necklace this shop has on Pinterest which led me to check out her Etsy shop and that was it! I ended up purchasing some earrings and necklaces from her. Everything came individually boxed and I love everything I ordered! I’ve been wearing her stuff non-stop. (The pictures below are some of the things I purchased.)

Triple Ring Necklace - Sterling Silver Rings - Sisters  Black Beaded Necklace - Bella Jet Black  Blue Beaded Hoop Earrings - Gold - Bella Blue

I’ve seen this book advertised in my Runners World magazines for a while now, and finally ordered the book. I read it in about 24 hours. I couldn’t put it down. It had me laughing, crying and inspired. Matt Long’s journey is unbelievable. It’s an amazing book.

30 Day Fast Start
I love Jackie Warner’s workout videos and this one does not disappoint. The first time I did the upper body workout (about 15 minutes), I couldn’t do all the circuits and definitely felt it big time the next day. It has an upper body workout and a lower body and ab workout. Each workout is about 15 minutes and uses the pyramid method and is a serious workout!

NARS Eyeshadow
I have the madrague duo and I love it. Its the perfect shade of brown, not to dark and not to light. I also love the lighter accent color, which helps lighten the brown if I go a little to dark! This stuff stays on all day without really fading, which I love.

All Things Loved

The things I loved in December:

1. Jenna Marbles.
I've been watching her video's on You Tube before December, but I just thought to put her on there this month. She swears, tells it like it is and has the craziest videos. I laugh so hard. My favorite has to be this one. Here's the follow up.

This stuff smells sooooo good. It's pretty thick, but not to much, and doesn't dry out. which I tend to load it on real thick before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning, my lips still have a little on so they aren't dry. I'll defiantly be buying more of this.

CO bigelow my favorite night balm

3. Cookie Love.
I had heard about this place, but never knew where it was. When D and I were driving around a few weekends ago (to see where different roads took us near our house) we came out right across from the factory store. I got so excited, I went back the next week and purchased three - peanut butter chocolate chip, sugar cookie and white chocolate with berries (raspberries and blueberries). The white chocolate with berries is my favorite. This place is aammaazziinngg.

4. My iphone.
This was a Christmas present from D and I love it! I have been playing with it non stop since I got it set up. I'm obsessed with Pandora and listen to it all the time. D discovered how to check his sports stuff on it the other day and I have a feeling he'll be stealing it whenever we're not near a computer.

I know this isn't a lot of things this month, but I was selective so that you'd know how much I really loved what I put down.

All Things Loved ....

… The November Edition

  1. POPCORNERS.

These things are amazing. I especially love the White Cheddar flavor. I really want to try the butter flavor but can’t seem to find them. I can eat an entire bag of these with out even realizing it. Good thing they aren’t all that bad for you!

  1. DILLY BABY.
I first saw this company at the Essex Craft fair with my mom. I didn’t buy anything at the craft fair but ended up purchasing a couple bags online and love them. They are the perfect size to put in your purse, in your car or anywhere you want. They have some great designs and a few different products and styles.

    3. NO MORE TROUBLE ZONES.

You can either do the whole video (40 minutes) or you can do the circuits. There are seven 5 minute circuits that target different areas (biceps & butts, upper body & core ect). Five minutes doesn’t sound like a long time (I haven’t been brave enough to do the whole video yet) but Jillian Michael’s workouts are no joke. After one circuit I’m sweating and whatever muscles I worked, are already shaking!

    4. OUR HOUSE.

This goes with out saying that I love that we became home owners this month. 11/12/11 was our first night in the new house and it was so exciting. It still hasn’t fully sunk in that the house is ours, but I know it will. (Once we get the internet at our house and I don’t have to write posts on my phone or at D’s office, I’ll update house pictures).

All Things Loved

Octobers edition of all the things I really loved:

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
These are the best doughnuts I've ever had. The first time I tried one was in San Fran on a weekend trip with my grandparents. My grandfather and I went out in search of a store around 1030 at night when he found out I'd never had one. I was hooked after one bite. We went twice while we were in MB (I easily could have gone every day) and my doughnut of choice was the glazed raspberry. Its a raspberry filled donughnut but instead of sugar on top, its glazed. And they are always warm. I wish I could have one right now.

Converse All Stars.
When we were waiting in the airport, I saw a girl with a pair of low top Converse All Stars. I told D that I thought I wanted a pair in a cute/fun color. When we were on vacation, we stopped at a Tanger Outlet and they had a Converse store so we went in. D really wanted me to get a pair of laceless ones. I wasn't sure how I felt about them. I tried on a pair and instantly loved them. I got a navy blue pair - so not a cute/fun color but more practical which is good since I've been wearing them a lot!

Erin Condren planner
I got this planner back in August and I love it; which is good because its an expensive planner. Its a serious planner, with thick/heavy paper with cute sayings, designs and colors. There are stickers in the back to mark things like appointments, weddings, date nights, birthdays and blank ones so you can make your own, lined paper, a little folder and a cute zippered "pouch" to store things. You get to pick the cover design (there are so many to choose from) and you can personalize it (your name, your family name, business name ect). When you get your planner it comes with  some address lables (with the same cover design and whatever personalization you choose) and coupons for future purchases I will definatly be getting another planner from here next year. (I got the design below in teal and brown.)

CHI Hair straightener
I know I have straight hair, but I still have a hair straightener. I usually just buy a cheaper one since I don't have curly hair, but have always coveted a CHI straightener. I finally broke down and bought one a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. It only takes a few minutes to work all the kinks and creases out of my hair now! With other straighteners it would take 10-15 minutes (at least). Plus my hair has less fly-aways and is smoother and shinier with the CHI.

All Things Loved – August

The things I have loved this past month is quite the assortment!

*Cake Batter Truffles. These are quick and easy to make & so hard to stay out of!

*ASICS GEL-Nimbus 13. I am loyal to ASICS running shoes and have only had that brand since I started running; they just fit perfectly. I was due for a new pair and saw and add for their new shoe in my running magazine so I thought I’d give them a try. That might have been the best (running) shoe purchase I’ve ever made. They are the most comfortable sneaker ever! I want to wear them all the time.

*Old Navy pajama pants. I bought a pair on a whim this weekend and loved them so much I went back and got two more pairs! They are the perfect length and they are warm but not to warm.

*Ripped in 30. I have only done this DVD 3 times this month but it is NO JOKE. Its only about a 20-25 minute video broken down into three circuits. I’m always sweating by the end of the first circuit (about 6 minutes in!)

*The Help. I know I am behind the ball on this one as a lot of people have already read this and some have even seen the movie. I’ve had the book since it came out, but I am just now getting to it. I don’t think I’m even 100 pages in yet and I already love it.

*Pinterest. Like everyone else, I have fallen into the Pinterest addiction. I’ve found great recipes (Cake Batter Truffles), craft projects (now I only need to become crafty), ideas for our house, quotes and sayings, exercises and fashion ideas. It is so easy for me to get sucked in and spend an hour on this site without realizing it.

All Things Loved

Here is the short and sweet March edition of 'All Things Loved'

* GARMIN

I know I didn't need this expensive little running accessory, but I have to say, it might be one of the best things I've bought for running. Its so nice to go out for a run, look down and know how far you've gone, your mile time and overall time. Its so nice not having to try and map out a run online and figure out the distance and then figure out your per mile time. The first time I used the Garmin was in Arizona and loved it. I'm glad its finally starting to be nice enough to run outside at home. I've logged some quality time with this watch in the last two weeks! (I got mine on Heart Rate Monitor - Search for the Garmin 405x. They usually have a "sale" on them and have free (and fast) shipping.)
* BIC Headbands

I found this shop through Skinny Runner and purchased a headband as part of a friends birthday gift. When it came in I loved it and was jealous, so I had to go buy myself a couple too. I may have gone a little over board, but I've worn all the headbands at least once :) I like the mini ones, they are thin and sparkly and add a little fun to your outfits. I tried the thicker ones when working out and they worked really well. They stay in place and don't rip your hair out. the headbands are nice becuase they are tight enough that they stay in place but not to tight that they pinch your head and give you  headaches. And each month the shop picks a charity to donate $1 of the proceeds from each headband to. That's pretty cool.

* EOS

I have been seeing lots of ads for this brand in all my magazines lately. I'd heard of them before and since I'm addicted to chapstick, I figured I'd give them a try. I ordered a couple of the "egg" shaped kinds and two of the regular stick kinds. I LOVE THEM ALL and they are all over the house, my purse and one's in my desk at work. This chapstick is great becuase its thick but not to thick or gross, it has good flavors and it lasts a lot longer then most brands. Its nice for running beucase it stays on for so long you don't have to carry chapstick to reapply duirng your run (maybe this is just something I do?).

All Things Loved - February

Here's a lits of the things I loved this month:

Jackie Warner workout video
I purchased a few of her video's a while back on Amazon to work on strength training. After doing her 'Xtreme Time Saver Training' video in January I started her 'Power Circut Training' video this month. Let me tell you, its a tough workout and you will work up a good sweat. Even though you only do each sequence for one minute it's a long minute and the power burn  (20 seconds of each sequence one after the other) will have you ready to quit! Despite all that, the 40 minutes goes by so fast.

"Jackie maximizes results by working every muscle to its absolute limit (“eventually the muscle will go numb, keep working!”). Each body-part-specific segment features three exercises that are repeated three times. The three exercises work the muscles in different ways; the three sets of repetitions let you progressively increase the intensity. The sequence always ends with a “power circuit” — a faster-paced, linked-together set of the earlier moves."

Food (Molton Hot Wing potato chips / 'Mini Mini Reces' / Carmel Cadbury Eggs)
The chips and mini reces are two things I just recently discovered and it has been love at first bite. I haven't been able to get enough of either and anytime I have a bag of them, it hasn't lasted more then a few days! The carmel Cadbuy Eggs aren't something new, just not something I had been able to find and have been hunting for. My friend K found them and bought them for me last Friday. I won't even tell you how many of the 12 (mini) eggs I ate on Friday!

Warm & Sunny Weather

It was so nice to get away from the cold and snow and spend a week in warm sunny Arizona.  It’s amazing what a few days of nice weather can do to recharge your batteries. Even though it was really hard to come back to the less than desirable Vermont weather, I know the end is in sight and the nicer weather is just around the corner.

Family
Or more specifically, time with my family. I am so happy my parents let me tag along on the vacation they planned and be part of the surprise for my grandparents. I didn’t realize how much I needed quality time with my family. Especially with the ones I don’t get to see very often. Without knowing it, this trip and time with family, was just what the doctor ordred!
