Appreciation

This week and today I am thankful for:

  • A great early morning workout!
  • A filling and tasty (and healthy) breakfast.
  • Everyone that’s working on building our house. They are going so fast and doing a great job!
  • A dinner and movie double date with friends on Saturday night.
  • The fact that I haven’t had a sensory migraine (affect’s vision rather then getting a typical headache/migraine) in a long time; despite the fact that I’m having one now.

House Progress, Part V

Ladies and gentlemen we have the start of walls! Its so much easier to see the rooms and how the house will be laid out. SO EXCITING! Here are the pictures from tonight's visit:

This will be either a den or D's man's room

Casual Dresser

This I’m loving so far this week:

  1. Today is the summer picnic and we get to dress down.
  2. Because of the summer picnic we get a longer lunch today.
  3. Icing my knee and really stretching my hamstrings have made them less stiff and tight, respectively.
  4. I love that the NFL lockout is over – I was getting really sick of hearing about it every five minutes. (Although now it will be all about training camps and who’s being released and who’s being picked up….)
  5. D and I listened to our wedding song last night (it was a You Tube version of the band on Oprah and not KB singing, but it was nice).

Oh the mystery and suspense of randomness…

You never know quite what you’ll get to find out about me on Triple Tangent Tuesdays. I won’t keep you in suspense any longer ….

  1. I am very particular about my food. I don’t like it touching. I don’t mix a little bit of everything together for one big bite. I usually eat all of one thing first, then move to the next thing (For example: I would eat my green beans, then my steak, then my rice).
  2. I like my socks to be tight and fitted. They always match. Unless I am under some dire circumstances, I will not wear the same socks twice without washing. Even if I wore them for a few hours and took them off to wear flip flops. If I need to put socks back on, I’ll get a new pair.
  3. I miss my brother. He’s living in California for the summer and heading back to Colorado for school in August / September. I haven’t seen him since Christmas 2010 and probably won’t see him until Christmas 2011. That makes me sad and I wish we lived closer or could visit each other more often / easily.

House Progress, Part IV

On Friday (7/22) my parents were in town so I took them up to the house to show them the progress. The last time they had been to the land was before it was cleared so we had to trek through mud and trees to show them "about" where the house would be. So needless to say, things had change a lot for them (yes they have seen the progress pictures, but it was the first time in person) and they were excited. Here are the newest pictures:

Loving Mood

This week (at least so far) I am loving -

* The awesome workout I had last night. I really needed it to help me get back in the groove.
* That all the sugar cookies I made are now gone. (No, I didn't eat them all either, but it was close!)
* That my parents are coming into town on Friday and I get to hang out with them and show them all the house progress.
* The fact that we'll get to see so much of D's family this weekend.
* That it's P's first birthday this weekend :)
* The fact that after this weekend, we don't have much, if anything, going on. It will be nice to have a few relaxing weekends with no plans.

Traveling Bug

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: #34 - Visit M. Lynde

On Friday the 15th I headed down to the lovely Spofford, NH to visit my BFF and her husband for the weekend. We had a blast, we went to Madame Sherri's (she used to run a brothel in this awesome house that ended up burning down and now all that's left are some ruins - which are really pretty), Target, Spofford Lake, Pedrazza's (amazing Mexican) and did a little Wii dancing. It was an awesome weekend and it was so good so see M and J (and T & K - their dog and cat). I wasn't very good about taking pictures but here are the ones I took at Madame Sherri's and a random one of me and M.

3 times the usless information

This weeks triple tangents are:

1. I sometimes have a touch of road rage
2. Sometimes I get just as excited spending money at the drug store as I do a clothing store
3. I am now a strong believer in quality over quantity

House Progress, Part II

We went up to the land/house today and they have almost completely back filled (there is still one spot where the port will be where they're working on drainage or a water pipe), the basement and garage floors have been poured and set and the first lumber shipment arrived!
